ROBIN DINGEMANS

OMP is a performance by kids for kids ages 8 to 11. A team of 4 international dance artists have met with over 500 children to gather ideas for dance and art that interest them. 

 

The result is an entertaining and mind stretching performance, in fact 4 performances! There were so many ideas we had to make multiple short works! The work will continue to invite agency to the children, they will get to exercise their democratic, physical and imaginative muscle. The performance concludes with voting on the four pieces, in secret ballots, leading into a creative workshop where kids can propose new ideas and take part in what they saw the performers present. 

 

It’s a way for the kids to explore democracy, appreciation of the arts and gain confidence in the knowledge they can develop, collaborate and participate in the dance and the arts.

Escarleth Romo Pozo, Marcus Doverud, Petra Söör, Robin Dingemans

Majula Drammeh also developed the interpretation with the team and worked as dramaturg.
